Fraiche

braeside_butchery_assorted_meats

Fraiche started as a little family owned mobile restaurant serving great food with big smiles and big dreams. People loved our authentic argentinian style sandwiches, “Lomito’s” and wraps so much that we automatically evolved into a regular mobile food choice for office parks and festivals. Healthy alternatives were always big at Fraiche, and naturally we became a local favorite for athletes & sportsmen.

With the desire to live healthy lifestyles and eat accordingly increasing, we were asked to cater for several sporting events and that’s where Fraiche found its home. We are fresh food, we are family, we are a symbol of warmth & health, we are a quick healthy lunch with a friend after a race, we are your weekly healthy ritual, you are home! The Snorting Boar

The Snorting Boar

Nic Grig used to attend a lot of the shows and expos in and around Johannesburg a number of years back, and was always appalled at how much we had to pay for really horrible, bland food at these events. Nic says ‘As far as I am concerned, Life is too short to eat bad food! I am no means a Chef, but enjoy good food, and love cooking – I came across a program on smoking about 7 years ago, and started researching the techniques, recipes etc., and finally decided to build a smoker that I could provide tasty, delicious food from, for the masses.

We completed fabrication, and tested the “Beast” in February of this year, and have been serving food at various events ever since. Our aim is to get into the big “Foodie” events, such as “Taste of Jo’burg”, “Delicious” etc. in Johannesburg and surrounds, to introduce the flavours of American-style, smoked foods to the discerning taste buds of the South African “Foodie” connoisseurs. Snorting Boar Smoker serves “American-Style” Smoked Pulled Pork rolls with fresh Coleslaw and a choice of 5 home-made sauces.

We also have smoked Chicken wings to order, served with either a Sweet Wing Sauce, or our Hot BBQ Wing Sauce. Our “Chicharones” (Pork Rinds) are freshly fried to order, and seasoned with a range of five spices, ranging from spicy to sweet. We haven’t been around for long, but we get rave reviews where-ever we go – people seem to love our food! We have also started fabricating smokers, and our first Commercial-sized smoker was installed at the “Let’s Deli” in the Lonehill Shopping Centre at the beginning of May. We currently fabricate 4 sizes – two home-sized, backyard smokers, and two commercial smokers for restaurants, Deli’s etc. We are putting the finishing touches to our website, and the public will then be able to order smokers with all of the accessories, wood etc. online, as well as our dry rubs, sauces, Chicharones etc. Visit our Facebook page.

Woodview Wagyu Beef

Woodview Wagyu Beef

Brian Angus, a third-generation beef farmer from the Free State was the first to introduce Wagyu genetic material to South Africa. Our family business feed and market Wagyu beef under our Woodview brand. All of our beef can be traced back to the farm. “Our aim is to produce a world-class product in the safest most humane way possible, without using any additives or antibiotics.

The Angus family focusses on quality not quantity. Woodview’s longer-term goal– to encourage South Africans to think about the meat they eat. We are on a mission to encourage beef lovers to know the farmer and team behind producing healthy, safe and excellent quality beef, and to understand the ethics behind the beef they consume.

Our Woodview Wagyu beef is the trendiest meat option to hit South African menus. The demand for the meat and animals has exploded. This is one of the reasons why the meat is so expensive as he has. We supplies gourmet chefs at the top restaurants and hotels in Johannesburg and the Western Cape. Visit our website at www.wagyu.co.za.

SMACK! Republic Brewing Co.

We are an Artisan or Artisanal brewery. To us beer is an form of art, with every nuance of this craft being poetic and oh so glorious. A desire to create artisan beer, a need to drink curious and smash boundaries, together with an intense love for the inner city, resulted in 3 beer enthusiasts coming together and SMACK! Republic Brewing Co. being born. It is the paradox between old city allure and new age inspiration that provides the heartbeat of what SMACK! represents. Be different. Drink bold. Forge the future.

Two Okes Brewery – where REAL BEER is made! Our carefully crafted Beer won’t make you rich, fast, or attractive. Your favourite sports team isn’t going to win because you drink it, and hordes of beautiful women aren’t going to swarm you as you pour it into your glass (well, not in our experience anyway). What we do promise you is that we brew our beer with care, attention to detail, and hard work. We invest ourselves in the beer, so that we make the best beer possible. Our beers are for people who smile at the smell and taste of beer | TwoOkesBrewery.co.za

mainstream

The brewery’s roots go back to when its founders, two proudly South African beer drinkers, realized they shared the same passion for the business of brewing beer. The journey started modestly in 2012 when the first home brew recipes were born. The name, MAINSTЯEAM BREWING COMPANY ( reversed “Я”), was selected for a few reasons:The word “mainstream” can be defined as: “Mainstream is what’s the new trend. When hearing the name mainstream one can be forgiven of thinking, ‘why call a craft or microbrewery, Mainstream?’ It is vital that people know our logo to understand. So what we are really saying with our reversed R and the Salmon as part of our logo, is that we are upstream of mainstream! Mainstream Brewing Company endeavours to continuously be engaged with our customers and patrons so that through continuous improvement and innovation we remain in the forefront of the craft brewing industry. We believe strongly in doing things once and doing them properly. So in all we do we are rooted in quality and a professional approach to all things beer. And of course a splash of humour wherever and whenever we can fit it in. | www.mainstreambeer.com

Brothers Brewery High Res Logo
Brothers Brewery is a story about a collective passion that became an empowered idea.. an idea that soon found itself growing and becoming a reality in the minds and lives of a group of life long friends.. unifying dreams and resources, people and places every step of the way.
With an ethos built on the premise that “the reward is in the recipe”, it was not an easy task to finally bring every ideal, ingredient and innovation together to create a beer that matches this vision. But, at the heart of Brother’s Brewery is a brotherly bond; Strength in Numbers, that connects each of the founders, with not only each other, but also with each and every punter, purveyor and patron that all form the very foundation of a collective vision and brilliant local beer.
Hand-crafted premium beer means that there is kinsmanship in every sip, and with every splendid swig, one can taste the brotherly bond and know that anything can be accomplished with your Brother’s at your side.
